We travel to eastern Slovakia after a while. There we will see some unique places. The first one is Herlany town, about 28 kilometers from Kosice. The town is in picturesque land at the foothills of the Slanske Hills and the Herlansky creek.

This was problem for us when we entered an address to the navigation as Vancouver makes only a part of this territory.

Weather got better. Perhaps that turtle we helped on the day before in Yuantong圆通spread the word… Anyway, instead of rain sunrays woke us up. We were eager to eat peculiar rice cakes of thick dough which was baked and filled with strange sweet-salty stuff. We recognize only peanuts and spicy pepper.

Our Sunday schedule seems great. Upon the breakfast we leave the hotel, give a ride to some tourists to Paris for their individual schedule, and then head to Giverna. The town is known for the fact that Claude Monet once worked there. It is charming, especially on a sunny day.

Last week we made a tour from Dechtice to the church and monastery of St Catherine. This nice stroll inspired us to make another trip – this time to Dobra Voda town, couple of kilometers away. The town boasts with a beautiful ruin of a castle and Jan Holly.

Immediately after seeing the Luxembourg Gardens we headed to the world famous Sorbonna University. Cardinal Richelieu himself took care of its development. for he financed its reconstruction, and he transformed once college for poor students to an important hub of education.

Standing at a box office in Xichang 西昌 at the train station, we heard why we cannot withdraw them. We could only return them and try to buy new ones that would be for a train that doesn’t travel on the route where the landslide happened. When the lady pointed at the endless line, we wanted to pack our stuff and leave on foot for our next destination, Kunming昆明,. It was very fortunate that we remained standing for a while there.
