Lower Austria: 4 Tips for Great Experiences

Wine Spring
The so called Wine Road opens in the beginning of spring in Lower Austria. What does it mean is what you ask? It is the time when wine roads get green, wine makes open their cellars, start with presses, and begin with wine tasting. They pull tables out to their wine gardens to let people taste new wine produce. What was pressed in fall, ripened through winter, and in spring is ready for tasting.
It is the best time for wine lowers to learn more on properties of the new wine in good, friendly company. They also may meet wine makers, and see vineyards, for instance during some event, to fill their wine stockpile at home.
By Bike Across Lower Austria
On EuroVelo 9 trail you may ride across the entire Lower Austria on EuroVelo 9 track. This way you will explore Lower Austria thoroughly. The bike trail connects the Baltic and the Adriatic seas.
From the north EuroVelo 9 track crosses Weinviertel region. You will ride through wine cellar streets, vineyards and enjoy flatland. Eventually, the trail takes you to Thermenradweg, a trail south of Vienna. This trail can get you to the forested highlands of Wienerwald.
