USA: Los Angeles – Universal Studios

Published: 10.1.2014
Last week, we were over to Hollywood. It is a place that is in some ways perhaps overrated.

While I was walking to the places where movie stars feel like at home, I did not enjoyed it. Ubiquitous street artists had great costumes, but spoiled the impression by their constant attempts to pull me the most money.

I wanted to experience something that would left me a better memory of Hollywood . I decided to visit Universal Studios Theme Park . I believed that there I will experience a true American entertainment as it essentially from the 50th he began to create Disneyland , which by the way is nearby Anaheim.

Universal Studios

Universal Studios many of you know very well. If you have a cable television, you can watch in Czech also Universal Channel . This movie factory has been existent for 102 years. It has had produced thousands of films. Sales in 2011 reached $ 4.2 billion (80 billion Czech crowns).

Today, there studios in other locations than just California . They are in Orlando, Florida, in Japan and Singapore. In the prospective future the company intends to build other studios in South Korea , United Arab Emirates, China and India.

Universal Studios

The theme park , which you can visit in Hollywood, however, has the longest tradition. It was opened in 1964 and today it divided into two parts - upper and lower. Both are connected by long escalators.

I must say that at first I was very skeptical to pay $ 80 for a ticket. If you had the opportunity to go to the park several times a year, the price is definitely worth it. Basically, it is a cheap fun because the ticket is valid all year round. However, I could not do it and the park I went anyway.

Universal Studios

It was one of the best things I experienced in the US. Universal Studios Theme Park is just the essence of the best of American entertainment. There are several great attractions. In the foreground are Transformers and Despicable Me . The attraction is scheduled to be completed in April). Furthermore, you can go to Mummy, The Simpsons, Shrek, excellent Jurassic Park or live performance inspired by the movie Waterworld . In addition, you can go on a studio tour. A guide will capture your attention with many interesting things about movie world, which you probably do not know. Also you will experience King Kong 4D (absolutely phenomenal) and few other surprises.

Universal Studios

In addition to the excellent attractions I have to highlight park’s environment. It is stylized to fit the themes of individual attractions. So, for example around Krustyland the buildings and environment visually corresponds to the art of the Simpsons.

If you actually go to the park, it is generally good to have in mind one rule - come as soon as possible, a few minutes before the opening. This allows you to have a very high probability that you will enjoy all rides without waiting in the queue, which may well be more than an hour.
