To tell the truth, Myanmar is not, as a consequence of strained interior-political situation and a rule of military regime so popular country, from tourist point of view, as in case of neighbouring Thailand and another countries of the region could be.

Nevertheless, the country has rather numerous number of attractive historical monuments. The foreigners who arrive to the country, are practically always under control of police authorities. So, the possibilities of their movements and travelling throughout the country are limited, from various reasons.

We wish to recommend you, in case of individual trips, to contact local travel agencies. Travelling to Myanmar, you can use airflights only, the use of land cross-border points is impossible. According to the information from Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok (Thailand), even the use of private personal vehicles in Myanmar is impossible. Moreover, the stay and travelling close to Thai-Myanmar border could be very dangerous.

It is very important to keep all basic hygienic rules and have always enough quantity of essential medicins available (against diarrhoea, vomiting, etc.).
