Travelling to Myanmar, you need a passport, the validity of which must exceed three months, before you leave the country. The passport with entry visa is regularly checked in railway stations, hotels, etc. Anyway, the entry visa is not issued in automatic way.

We wish to recommend you, in this connection, before you leave, to check at Consular Section of Myanmar Embassy abroad, if  the conditions for the entry and stay did not changed in the meantime.

The entry visa could be obtained at any Myanmar Embassy in Europe (in Germany) but also at Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok (Thailand). at the following address:

Mondays - Fridays: 8,30-12,00 h and 14,00-14,30 h

When you apply for visa at Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok, you need to present the following documents:

- passport

- three photos

The fee for visa makes THB 800. Visa will be issued on the same day, and its validity is four weeks.

As far as the announce duty is concerned, this operation is effected by hotels. Airport fee in Rangoon Airport makes USD 10.
