In the city you will find a view of the carefully maintained gardens and courtyards and especially the beautiful beaches, which are not dotted with the uncontrolled construction of hotels and apartments. But don't expect a bigger shopping district or theaters and cinemas in the city. Rather, you can look forward to nice parks and surrounding nature.

One of the things you should not miss here is the lighthouse museum Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. This charming historic lighthouse stands on a hill overlooking the azure blue bay.

The red building is surrounded by tropical vegetation and huge fig trees. The lighthouse was first opened in 1860 and today boasts the title of the oldest building in the Palm Beach County area. The museum then houses artifacts pointing to the history of the area. From the top of the lighthouse you will have a great view not only of the city but also of the surroundings. Right next to the lighthouse is the small Keeper’s Workshop, which also functions as a small museum.

The area around the lighthouses, known as the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, is one of three of its kind in the United States. In addition to the lighthouse, which is clearly one of the main attractions of this site, you can walk along hiking trails that introduce you to the unique local ecosystems. On the northern edge of the reserve there is a lookout tower overlooking the lagoon, in which manatees swim, which are nicknamed sea cows.

If you would like to learn more about the local history, then head to the DuBois Pioneer Home, a Victorian Villa, located in the park of the same name, a short walk from the hilltop beach. The house was built by Harry and Susan DuBois in the late 19th century and is one of the oldest buildings in Palm Beach County, along with the lighthouse.

Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery in the Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island. For long hours, you will be pleasantly lost walking the local trails, where you will see the local flora and fauna, including endangered turtles, which are taken care of by the Hawley Education Park's endangered species. In nice sunny weather, it is worth spreading out a lounger on the local beach and enjoying the silence and the view of the waves.

If you travel to the area with children, then we have a great tip for you. Take them to Carlin Park, where the beach is connected to many playgrounds, as well as tennis and volleyball courts. You will definitely not be bored here. In addition, great ocean views await you, and be sure to have a picnic. If you don't have any food with you, you will surely satisfy your hungry stomachs at the local Lazy Loggerhead Café.
