The Lower Austrian Cycle Routes combine the same and typical signs. They mostly along the river flow or former railways tracks, ensuring a smooth course of the route without any significant elevation. In Mostviertel last year, they built a major section of the Ybbstal valley cycle path. The Ybbstalradweg (Ybbstal Cycle Route) crosses the railway line of the former Ybbstal Railroad, which is mainly used by families with children. It passes through the foothills of the Alps on a pleasant plain and is far from car transport and just off the Ybbs River. The Trasental Cycle Route runs from the Danube to Mariazell, also on a smooth plain and is not a challenge for children. In the Waldviertel region, the former Thayatal-Bahn and Göpfritz-Raabs-Bahn railway lines were transformed into a Thayarund bicycle trail. It has been opened only from 2017 and includes various ruins, several castles, including Raabs Castle, old railroad remains and wild fruit trees and bushes that are full of fruit in the summer.
