CZ, Holedná Game Reserve – Rest in Nature

The Holedná game reserve is located between Kohoutovice, Jundrov and Bystrce, ie only a short distance from Brno. There is an educational trail leading through the field, there are also benches, gazebos, lakes and picturesque forest nooks inviting to rest and relaxation. These days, only residents of the Brno-město and Brno-venkov districts can come here, but don't despair, the rest of you will get here soon. The nature trail offers a lot of interesting information about farmed game. The environment is suitable for walks, sports, but also for families with children, walks are possible with a stroller, just watch out for the weather, when it is after the rain, so sometimes the paths are quite muddy. In the park, you may also come across four boundary stones, which in earlier times marked the owners of the local land and are dated 1598.

The already mentioned mouflons and fallow deer live freely in the game reserve, but the Dybowski's sika deer also lives here, and wild boars live in a specially fenced game reserve towards Žebětínská. This smaller game reserve is right next to one of the car parks. Please note that it is not allowed to enter the game outside the marked routes and there is a ban on walking dogs without a leash.

The fact that the people of Brno like to look at nature from a bird's eye view has been known for a long time, as evidenced by the number of all lookout towers around the city. Last year, a lookout tower was also built in the Holedná game reserve.

It measures a respectable 35 meters and you can climb it by 208 steps. The lookout tower rises at the top of the slope of the Holedná hill, above the Brno district of Jundrov.

Set off to get some energy from nature, these are more than necessary on these demanding days.
