CZ, Prague – Folllowing Traces of The Rapid Arrows
Although the five comic boys called Fast Arrows are now closer to a generation of grandparents and parents, the adventures from the workshop of the writer Jaroslav Foglar still remain in our memories. To mark the 80th anniversary of Quick Arrows, rychlesipy.org has created a unique outdoor game in the very center of Prague. Until March 14, 2021, a lot of interesting tasks await you in Stínady and its surroundings at 25 locations, where you can also compete for prizes. Just download the map and notebook from the rychlesipy.org website and embark on an adventure with the whole family, which perhaps requires only comfortable shoes, warm clothes and a good mood.
The game starts close to Národní or Revoluční streets and there is really no shortage of tasks. We will sweat a bit with the search for the first place, however, the beautiful bench of Jaroslav Foglar cannot be overlooked by anyone. The world of Shadows is unique, although we walk through the very famous center of Prague, we get to the narrow old streets, where we have not strayed until now, and they are all just around the corner from Celetná Street or Old Town Square. Along the way, we are also accompanied by mysterious inscriptions on the walls reminiscent of the adventures of the Fast Arrows.
Be careful and don't be fooled like us - the points on the downloaded map mark the position of the site only as a guide, read the diary carefully. Also look all around, some sites are both underfoot and high above your head.
During the search, the whole family will really get their money's worth. Parents and grandparents remember the old days when they liked to read The Mystery of the Puzzle, and children have fun looking for interesting tasks. And because the route takes place in the center of Prague, here and there you will also find an open dispensing window, where you can warm yourself with a hot drink or refresh yourself with trdelník. You will surely make local entrepreneurs extremely happy in these difficult times. Although the pandemic haunts us, it is not necessary to sit at home, the center of Prague is much emptier than the mountain slopes, so even if you follow all government measures, it will give you wonderful fun for the whole day. And if you are lucky, a beautiful snowy Prague awaits you, which has an amazing atmosphere in itself.

Our journey across Czech Republic’s popular as well as less frequented spots we move to Prague. One of her most distinctive sights is the Zizkov TV Tower.
They really do not want new measures of excursions, you will not get outside the cadastre of your village at the moment. So today we have something for the people of Prague, but also for the rest of you, only you will be able to come here later. Chotkovy sady are within sight of the Lesser Town and Prague Castle and are easily accessible by public transport. Although they are small in size, together with the neighboring Letenské sady, they form a pleasant green oasis in the historical center of Prague.
The forest-park on the south-eastern edge of Prague, founded at the beginning of the 18th century as a part of the Milíčov Court, is perfect for a walk on a hot summer day. The paths take you to relaxation areas, a children's playground or ponds where people can swim. However, bathing dogs is prohibited.
The Chuchelský háj nature trail passes through the nature reserve above Prague's Chuchle, which connects to the Barrandovské skály nature trail. It will take you along a yellow tourist and at the same time cycling asphalt road, mostly through deciduous vegetation from Velká to Malá Chuchle, or vice versa. The biggest attraction, especially for children, is the local zoo.
This time we take a walk into the streets of Prague. We will omit the main landmarks on purpose. Our goal is to see places with for distinct atmosphere of their own, places that you will love.
Who would have thought that before the great flood in 2002 and a few years later would become one of Prague's most luxurious neighborhoods? Today, there is are great cafes, bistors and restaurants one next to another. The houses have been beautifully repaired and the streets are always full of life. You will easily think that you walk along some beautiful boulevard in France.
Together with Hradcany, Charles Bridge and Male Mesto, the Old Town of Prague is one of the iconic places in the city which is popular all around the world. The history of this part of the city dates back to the 9th century, the world-famous town hall was established in 1338 as the first one of its kind in Bohemia. Let's go together to the most famous places and hidden nooks.
The third day of Christmas is St. Stephen's Day. There was a lot of carols in the Czech Republic and many children still go to the carol. He is not a master of Stephen and he means that workers are given temporary freedom, settling annual bills and paying rewards. Even if we were strict for ourselves all year long, today we can indulge in ourselves. So it is time to have breakfast and go for a walk.
Nowadays, there are no buildings in the Jewish quarter of Prague, except for the synagogues and the mysterious Old Jewish Cemetery about which we wrote the last time-. Synagogues belong to the orthodox Prague Jewish community, some of them feature exhibits from the Jewish Museum which you may view as ordinary visitors.
No visitor to Prague should not miss a tour of the Jewish city, respectively sights which remain there. It is the most mysterious and beautiful of what you can see in this city. And not just here. The significance of the Old Jewish Cemetery far exceeds Prague and Bohemia since it is the oldest and best preserved Jewish cemetery in Europe!
