The fates of the villages are not only in history. Today, they are connected by two nature trails that will give you a closer look at the Battle of Jankov. The 3 km circular trail leads from the Ratmerice village square with the comic story of the local farmer Ones and we follow his trail.
You can go on this trip every season, even snow posses no limit. From the D10 motorway we head to Bakov nad Jizerou and continue to the end of the village of Mala Bela. Immediately behind the village is the settlement Velky Reckov, here we park and we take a short walk through a national natural monument named Klokocka. The area has been protected since 1956 due to the presence of rare and endangered species of plants and animals.
Snowy Brdy have their magic, and more and more cross-country skiers are attracting in the winter season. There are many forest paths in the area in the winter, and if you are lucky, you will also find traces of trails. You can go for example up the dominant of the region of Pribram - Tremosna or somewhat deeper into the Brdy forests up to Skelna Hut.
The Brdy is a place to visit not only in summer. They are magical as well when covered in snow. Both Houpak and the former Jordan impact area were only recently opened to the public. Houpak is an ideal place with perfect panoramatic vista. People who like long trips will love it here.
Janske Lazne is a paradise for skiers, cross-country skiers and hikers during the winter. Snow is mostly here around November and is held until March. There is a large complex of slopes, ski lifts and cable cars. And if you are not really a fan of winter sports, there are so many activities for you, so there is no boredom!
Liberec lies in the north of Bohemia and is a statutory town with approximately 104,000 inhabitants. The town is abundantly frequented during the winter season. For the rest of the year, people are mainly driving to the aquapark or to the IQLANDIA Liberec planetarium.
