Javorná is pretty in itself, but it is also a great base from which to explore the surroundings. Most of the dwellings are preserved, some can even be accommodated. The dominant feature is the unusual St. Anne's Church with shingle towers; From Javorná you can go to the Šumava National Park, to the valley of the Křemelná River, to the Novohůrecká Moor or to the Pancíř Hill with amazing views.

Among places we want to visit due to their beauty is also area of Povydri in Sumava. There Zlatatrail used to be. It was an important trade route connecting Podunaji and Czech lands. Turner’s Cottage (Turnerhütte) was one of the places where trade caravans spent nights and refreshed.

Everybody knows Pilsner Urquell beer. This bottom-fermented lager was invented in the Kingdom of Bohemia half-way between Prague and Regensburg, Germany.
