Since 1st May 2004, the citizens of Czech Republic are entitled to enter and stay in the territory of German Federal Republic on base of valid travelling document or personal identity card. The documents would be valid minimally for time period of of stay at least. The persons (children) younger than 15 years of age cannot be registered in parents´ passport and would travel with their own passports with photo. Sincew 1st January 2006, new legal act, regarding trave documents is in operation (No.559/2004). As travelling document to journeys into European Union countries, personal identity card only is required. According to declaration of Interior Ministry, personal identity card is travelling document for his holder only.
When travelling by motor vehicle, German police would require from drivers valid driving licence, technical certificate and green card.
