In the year 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted and its ashes covered the town of Pompei. Thanks to this catastrophe we may today see greatly preserved town. However, today we do not visit Pompei. We travel to Herculaneum, a town maybe less known but not less important and interesting.
