You start this cycling route in Bludenz, beautiful Alps-town with typical arboured walk streets. You can start your tour also in Klosterle or Parten. Feldkirch has beautiful Middle Age city centre. After Feldkirch, in northern direction, the Rhine-Valley is opening. The route heads, along Rhine-river banks, to south coast of Boden Lake. In Rhine-Valley, there are running connections to nest of cycling routes in Switzerland or Liechtenstein. Finally, you drive to Bregenz, capital of Vorarlberg. In this town, there is regularly taken place - in July and August - the biggest Festival of the world on lake scene. The town of Bregenz is starting point to international cycling route round Boden Lake. The route leads from Bregenz, via Lochau up to German border. You drive, across towns of Lindau and Friedrichshafen, to to Meersburg. At south part of the lake, you can continue, via Altnau and Rohrschah, to Rheineck, where you reach Austrian territory again International route around Boden Lake is much more attractive when some sections would be effected by ship.
