School Education Path Křivoklát
This path is suitable mostly for children or as an addition of school lessons. The route leads along small brook. Separate stops are placed near, one after another. The information, presented on tables, is described in general way. On rocks, there are growing a lot of sorts of plants. On places, where the rock is crumbled, the trees stop stones´ movement. In valleys, rather colder climate is kept. On the other hand, on warmer places, there are to be found oak-hornbeam groves, and on higher places beech-trees prevail. In spring, before the leaves appear on trees, various herbs are growing, as much more illumination penetrates here. Even the animals as well as the birds are looked after.
Nest-boxes are making bigger and are being repaired. Even the ants require their respective care. They are good liquidators of insects, but, on the other hand, they serve as a food for vertebrates. So, the ant-hills are protected with fences from this reason. The life at forest edge is most variable.
In summer, a lot of butterflies as well as a lot of rare insects are flying around.
