This look-out-tower is situated near to the border with Germany, on highest point of Český les, in an altitude of 1042 m of sea level, surrounded with in a beautiful countryside, near to the town of Domažlice.

First notice comes of 1894. It is a date of construction termination of this wooden house. In 1897, there was terminated a building of wooden cottage of Bohemian Tourists´ Club named Pasovská. However, this wooden house was not of long vitality, so it was destroyed in 1904, and built new stony look out tower next year named „Kurz Tower“, 25 m high.

In 1938, after occupation by German troops, the house was requisited for military purposes. After Second World War, the look-out-tower was annexed by Czechoslovak Army, and successively in 1970, there was constructed a radar tower nearby. Pasovská cottage was demolished and not renewed any more. In 2000, the look-out-tower was re-newed again for tourists . From the top, you can enjoy marvellous view on Český les and Bohemian Forest.The way to Čerchov highest-point is comfortable, 5 kms long and you can follow it along asphalted road from village of Capartice.

Open time period:

July-August : daily 9:00 h - 17:00 h

May, June and September: on weekends only 9:00h -17:00h
