Děčínský Sněžník
Nerby the river: Elbe
Děčínský Sněžník is look-out-tower, 33 metres high, constructed in 1864. The original intention was to build it, first of all, for geographical purposes. Nevertheless, thanks to marvellous view, Count Frank Thun let to open it for public. The building was constructed according to plans of architect Hanel. Later, there was added also restaurant-building here. From the top, there is very nice around view to Lužické Mountains and Bohemia-Saxonian Switzerland area, which was recently declared as our youngest national park.
