Educational Path Of St. Peter - Czech republic
Educational Path Of St. Peter
Just at the beginning of the route, there is placed a rock, named by inhabitants of Czech origin, as Huss Rock. From this place, Jan Žižka managed the besiege of the town of Prachatice, now known as Žižka Rock. This rock is prepared quarry mineral vein.
In the minerals, there are to be found small holes in some places, where quarry cristals are hidden. The quarry was pushed together here from hot mineral water.
The route leads you along small chapels of 18th and 19th centuries. In St.Peter and Paul cemetery church, there are preserved the inscriptions of pupils from Prachatice schools from 16th and 17th centuries. So, your excursion could be terminated here.
Along the route, there are four stops. The path is passable for cyclists, too. The route is open for excursionists all year round.
