Písek, in valley of Otava-river, South Bohemia Region, in an altitude of 455 metres above sea level. The construction of spa complex, in a form of Neo-Gothic chateau, (on place of original hunting castle) was started in 1869 and was terminated in 1875. Within first half of 20th century, the chateau undergone reconstruction arrangements and several other spa- buildings were constructed. In January 1936, there was established and solemny open for public modernized sanatorium, specialized for treatment of nervous diseases. Vráž Spa has no mineral springs available, to treatment sources belong earth mud-baths and favourable climate conditions. As one of treatment methods, there is being used in spa, Ajurveda, several thousand years old Indian method. Its base is laid on harmonic state of body, spirit and mind.
The stay in sanatorium is destined especially in case of neurological troubles and disorders of moving apparatus.
Favourable position of sanatorium enables easy excursions along tourist trails, admiring nature beauties of this coutryside. Vráž surroundigs are rich on historical as well as cultural monuments.
