Voděrady Beechwood Forest Educacional Path
This educational path was arranged, changed and renewed several times. A part (one section) follows along Penčice circle educational path. Within 1735-1737, local forests were met with winding calamity.This fact was also a catastrophe, even as far as the economic point of view was concerned, as a wood was excavated here in the middle of 18th century. So, there were excavated and renewed at the same time, more than 500 ha of forests, till 19th century. In order to prevent from total forest rooting up, there was effected also planting out of trees, and used foreign wooden trees, on this occasion.
In forests, there is living standard forest game, so as wild pig. The forest is also a rescue place for some sorts of birds. You can watch black woodpeckers, hawks, black storcks and other sorts. At ponds and brooks, you can follow other sorts of birds, such as nesting ducks on the water. Further, you can see great swans on water surfaces. Attention, she is quite aggresive and dangerous during nesting period. In general, the ponds are used mostly for fishing.
