Klimkovce Sanatorium
Building complex of Klimkovice Sanatorium is situated below peaks of Low Jeseník Mountains, in eastern part of Czech Republic, in Region of Moravia - Silesia, in an altitude of 370 metres above sea level. The construction of new, remarkable spa buildings from architectonical point of view, was started in 1991. Nevertheless, the first spa saison became in 1994. Main nature source is cold, hard mineralized, originally sea healing water, with high contains of iodine, bromine and other mineral stoffs, being drawn from drills 500 metres deep, and carried directly, by means of water-pipes, into spa complex.
After several weeks´ maturity in reservoirs, the water is being warmed up to the temperature of 36° C, and used to healing procedures. The contents of iodine in local iodine-bromine water, known as Solanka, exceeds 900 times standard sea water. The spa is specialized to treatment of moving apparatus, circulat system, and neurological or gynecological diseases.
Local stay could be made more pleasant by means of relax sporting activities directly in complex, or by means of excursions into Beskydy Mountains. In winter time-period, there are maintained ski-running routes, available.
