Zbořený Kostelec
Nerby the river: Sázava
Above the mouth of Sázava-river, a castle was established. In 1443, the castle was bought by Kunes Rozkos, grandson of Jan Žižka. He made robbery excursions, so the castle was besieged unsuccessfully. However, one year later, Kostelec was conquested. Castle ditch could be passed along a bridge, 30 metres long. In castle environs, you can finde, even now, preserved siege constructions.
Anyway, there was planned educational path here, several years ago, however, it was not established till now, nevertheless, you can use green marked tourist trail. No stops are available along the route.
Nearby the castle, the information table is placed. We recommend you, not to pass the route in winter, when the route is covered with snow.
