Brno - from landing place to Rakovec
The pavement with new asphalted surface is placed in an attractive holiday resort on bank of Brno-Dam. It leads along beaches from landing-place to Rybářská bašta restaurant (Fisher´s Bastion) in Rakovec. The route is 1 km long, however, it is not too much (22 times „hin und her“ and a marathon is made).
In surroundings you find everything for holiday enjoy of the first quality – i. e. bathing (supposed the dam is not closed for bad water-quality), sunshining, minigolf, many restaurants and kiosks with fast food, playground for beach-volleyball, table tennis, playgrounds for children, also a possibility of steam-ship cruises, etc. However, this pavement is full of cyclists or passengers, especially in summer season. Anyway, an experienced skater is able to go through to cyclopath along Svratka river. Attention! the road is rugged and full traffic of cars passing by!
Access: by car – to come and park on parking places near to landing-place, or nearby Rybářská bašta restaurant in Rakovec.
Brno-dam can be reached also by trams No. 1, 3 and 11.
