Modřany Ravine - Cholupnice Nature Park
This park was declared, as protected area, in 1991. Its extent makes 1707,5 ha and it is situated on south part of Prague. Bordering parts are formed with steep slopes, ravines (Modřany and Komořany ravines), and Břežany Valley. With its north part, the park is closed to housing estates, anyway, in south and on east parts, it changes into free countryside. There are to be found here several wells and springs.
So, to preserved areas, belongs Modřany Ravine, nature monument, further Cholupice pheasantry and Šance nature reservation, situated in south-west part of park. However, tourist marked signs are to be found in small part of park only.
