The museum is situated in former building of hunting castle of 1882. You meet here real witch and a jail for gingerbread thieves. Just at the entrance, you can watch fire-place of Twelve Months, nearby is also „Frnakovnik“ apple-tree or „Rosemary Pungent Trap“. For small children, there is available a special route dedicted for elfs, for others, an excursion into gingerbread world is available. Just in the first room, at nice model of gingerbread cottage, Fairytale Grandmother would test children. Further, you pass throughout ghostly corridor, and suddenly you discover a door. After knocking, a with opens it. She informs you about secrets, regarding gingerbread cooking, and shows you great exhibition of decorated gingerbread.
Baron Richard Drachsen of Wartenberg was an owner of former castle, as well as of Kunětická Hora Castle. However, the castle changed often their owners in the course of 20th century. Later, the building was used for purposes of bricklayer´s school, and consequently, there was a seat of seniors´ house. In 2004, the building was handed over to today´s proprietors, however, in very bad stage, but necessary arrangements and reconstruction works were immediately effected.
