Teplice nad Bečvou Spa is situated in nature area, along Bečva river, not far distant from the town of Hranice, Olomouc Region, in an altitude of 264 meters above sea level. The oldest preserved documents come of 16th century. In 1711, there was built first balneology house, on place of today´s Bečva sanatorium. Nevertheless, main boom of balneology came in the first half of 20th century, when healing effects of thermal alcalic water, with high contents of oxyde carbonic were proved. The springs well up in three strong branches, from a depth (60-143 metres), at the temperature of 22,5° C. Its healing effects salutary act at treatment of moving apparatus disturbances, specially cardio-vascular problems, and at treatment of moving apparatus. The water is being used to procedures in balneo-therapy and it is also suitable for drinking cures. The spa has available top cardio-rehabilitation centre (on European level). In programme of non-standard procedures, there are possible to use Arctic Polarium or special massages. As far as your leasure time is concerned, you can spend it enjoying sports, tourist walks, or admiring of nature or historical sightseeings (places of interest).
