Since 1st May 2004, the citizen of the Czech Republic can enter and stay in territories of European Union Countries without special limitations, on base of valid travelling documents or identity card only.
Since 1st January 2006. there is valid an operation, regarding Travelling Documents Law (No.559/2004). According to this rule, the Czech Republic can be left, with a target to travel into European Union Countries, on base of personal identity card, containing readable data.
According to Interior Ministry of Czech Republic declaration, the identity card is valid document for his holder only. So, the Interior Ministry does not recommend that the citizen of Czech Republic, younger than 15 years of age, travelling together with their parents, and being registered in their identity card, could travel without his own travel document, on base of registration in identity card only.
Drivers of motor vehicle can use Czech driving licence, the document is accepted in Luxembourg.
