Travelling to Maledives, you need valid passport, the validity of which would be longer that expected stay in the country. The international vaccination certification stating vaccination against yellow fewer is required at arrival at the airport from those passengers, who stayed, during past six days, in areas, where this disease was appeared.
Anyway, we wish to recommend you to check at the respective Embassy abroad, if the conditions for the entry and stay did not changed in the meantime.
Travelling to Maledives, you do not need the respective entry visa. As the only condition, it is valid travelling document and sufficient quantity of financial means (this does not concern the organized tourist groups). As a sufficient financial means, it is taken for the amount of USD 10 for each day of your stay.
The stay in Maledives is free of charge, up to 30 days. The stay prolongation could be obtained for an amount relating to USD 10 per each next day. So called announcing duty does not exist, nevertheless, most of hotels require the respective registration in guests´ books.
The entrance to Maledives is generally by means of Male International Airport. The transport by ship is rather difficult, as such way of transport is secured for goods only.
Entering to Maledives, you fill in the respective registration card, where you are obliged to state place of your stay in Maledives.
