The mountain village of Kováčová is located in the Zvolen basin, between Zvolen and Banská Bystrica. From the northwest it is surrounded by Kremnické hills, which are ideal for hiking. The town itself offers a number of interesting monuments and also an indoor water park with healing thermal water.
