CZ, Doubravník – Little Town with Unique Church and History
heading (paragraph): Towns
Published: 15.5.2020

Doubravník is probably the oldest village in Moravia. At first glance, you will certainly be interested in the majestic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which was built by the Pernštejn family, the owners of the nearby Pernštejn castle, but the Doubravnice square is also an interesting monument. On the hill Bozinka nad Doubravníkem stands an inconspicuous chapel of St. Mary Magdalene from the 17th century. And because she stands here alone, the place looks very romantic.

CZ: Brno – The Most Entertaining City in Czechia When You Know Where to Go... I – VIDEO

When I have learned recently that Lonely Planet declared Brno the least interesting city in the Czech Republic I couldn’t understand. Then I realized that it was good they said it after all. Had crowds of tourists been going there every day as they go to Prague it would soon loose its magic. Brno is a city of universities, fun, culture and many small, lovely places. The turning clock in the shape of a male genitalia from which a small glass ball falls out every hour. Smoking road signs are really to be found only here… New York Times was much more smarter. They put Brno on the list of 52 places where to go in 2016!
