The Jewish quarter and St Procopius' basilica are the last Czech sight which made it to the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. The sights were added in 2003 but have existed in Trebic much longer time. Today, we show you what you might be missing if you haven't been to Trebic yet.
Three gems near the Sazava river is what you can manage to visit in one day. The castle in Ledec nad Sazavou, historical center and Svetla nad Sazavou chateau, and lastly the majestic castle in Lipnice nad Sazavou.
About Jihlava we could hear in the news perhaps every day. It is quite obvious - Jihlava is the main city of region and it is no wonder that in a place that literally divides Bohemia and Moravia, and here and there a major ruckus. To be completely clear, where the border actually leads, Maria Theresa left in Jihlava "build" four boundary stones.
Zacharias‘ of Hradec square in Telc is a gallery of Renaissance architecture with bits of Baroque. Dubbed Moravian Venice, Telc is surrounded by ponds which reached to the town walls. This made the town an unconquerable water fortress. Its historic core has basically preserved its Renaissance looks. This architectonic coherence helped it to be listed to UNESCO’s cultural heritage program in 1992.
I would like to invite you today to one of those beautiful places where the noise of civilization is absent. In local landmark reserve there nest strokes. Nearby, in the forest, there is beautiful ruin of a castle.
ZOO Jihlava is located in a natural area picturesque river valley of Jihlávka close to the historic city centre (about 10 minutes walk). By cosy atmosphere and smaller size is ideal for family walks as well as to school or tourist trips.
