Bezděz is the only purely Gothic castle in our territory, it has never been rebuilt and almost no significant repairs have taken place here. The journey from the castle grounds is quite challenging, but that's how the journey to the castle should be. As in case of some other castles in the Czech Republic, Kokorin is a landmark any Czech should visit. The castle is surrounded by beauty of the protected area of Kokorin and for dozens of years it attracts visitors to see its compounds.

It runs along the Jizera River along the red marked trail. The walkway overlooks the river, the magnificent view over the Jizera and the hydroelectric power station, you go through the tunnel and you can drink from the well with splendid refreshing water.
