Lednice is a community with two and half thousands of inhabitants, well-known, first of all, with its castle, minaret building, (the only one in Czech Republic) and vineyards, of course. The vineyards are surrounding nearly all towns and villages of South Moravia. For tourists, Lednice is attactive place of interest all year round. Castle complex, including extensive garden and park, makes a part of Lednice-Valtice Region, is also accessible for public all year round.
This complex is registered in UNESCO World Heritage Survey.
Not only Mikulov but its chateau, the greatest sight here, is closely related to wine tradition in Palava region. Mikulov Chateau is located on a quite high rock known as the Chateau Hill. It looms over the city. From there you can see all its nooks and beyond.
A trip to Buchlov castle was so enchanting we decided to spend another weekend at Czech castles and chateaus. This time we decided Milotice set closer to us. The chateau is located at the edge of the town bearing the same name.
