heading (paragraph): Towns
Published: 28.10.2016

When you arrive in Norway to visit the Norwegian fjords you probably start in Bergen. We recommend you to spend some time here. The city was built on greenfield among 7 mountains. Its location makes it impressive. The sea borders it where the mountains are not. Its history is rich. Moreover, the atmosphere is nice, not usual in large cities. Come and see for yourselves in our video.

Sweden and Norway are Nordic countries situated on the Scandinavian peninsula which gives the country its cahracteristic features. The main natural attraction in the country are fjords cutting deep into the mainland. There are many such fjords in Norway. Areas without water are regions where many lakes are located. Or you can stumble upon some beautiful hilly area, plateau, deep forests or mountain ridge with a glacier. Nature is not the only thing worth of visiting. The two largest cities too – Oslo and bergen. The north of the country tourists usually avoid. If you seek to be on some remote place alone this would be the best choice.

We are heading towards Rådhuset which Oslo's townhall built in the Classicist revival style. Its two rectangle towers are hard to not to see. The east tower is 66-meters high. Inside, there are chimes consisting of 38 bells. The northern tower is 63 meters high. The astronomical clock is situated on the south side. The clock is unique and also one of the largest in Europe. Its dial has 8,6 meters in diameter. The hand is 5,7 meters long. To be honest, I didn't like th town hall at first. And I learn the locals also needed some time to adjust. However, they consider it an integral part of their city which is partly given by its beautiful interior.
