heading (paragraph): Towns
Less than 25 kilometres southeast of Bratislava on the Rye Island is the town of Šamorín, a town of nearly 14 thousand. This ancient town offers many sights to see, from a late Romanesque Reformed church, to a synagogue, to a late Baroque Roman Catholic church with a monastery. But visitors are also drawn to the X-bionic® Sphere leisure and sports resort, which, at 379,167 square metres, embodies one of the most modern complexes of its kind in Europe.
