According to many, Luzern is one of the most beautiful cities of Switzerland. For a long time it is a popular tourist destination. It is located between a lake and the Alps. The city's dominant is the Lion memorial, and also wooden bridges connecting the Old Town with the New Town. Almost 60 thousand people live in Luzern.
Zurich means for tourists primarily city of Limmat River and slightly high, but more beautiful historic centre. But for the Swiss is primarily of financial capital across the country. If Zurich fell down, and would fell the all Swiss economy, almost as famous as their watches.
We remain in Europe this time. Our goal is Geneva which is nicknamed the capital of peace. Geneva is the second largest city after Zurich. It is known as the home of many international organizations (WHO, CERN, OSN etc.). One of its major landmarks is the famous Palace of the Nations (Palais des Nations). The capital of the Canton of Lucerne, a city that already in the middle-ages used to be called a city of bridges. Today it has the same nickname. Everything stayed same. During your first walk through the city it will come to your mind that the citizens have sufficient amount of bridges. Maybe you will think that this is the most beautiful city you have ever seen.
We arrived in a great style – in a carriage - at a Benedictine monastery, in Titlis Valley, that stands there since 1120 stands there since. On a carriage there was a young Czech woman that tries to earn some money in Switzerland.
