SK, Jalovec – Skialping to the Cabin Pod Náružím

If you prefer public transport, let yourself be taken directly from the bus station of the district town of Liptovský Mikuláš to the final stop in the village of Jalovec. From here, following the yellow tourist sign, in less than half an hour you can reach Bobrovecká Vápenice, where an authorized camp is built, there are several mostly private cottages, and even a popular mountain hotel.
From this point you will follow the path marked in blue. During the year, tourists can use it as an access point to the Roháče ridge or just walk through the beautiful foothills of the Western Tatras. Lovers of mountain biking will even enjoy themselves here, as a relatively short but quite demanding cycle route is marked along Chata pod Náružím.
However, we completed the trip in the winter and our compulsory equipment became ski alps. We left the parking lot at the Nad Kamenolomem crossroads. On the way we passed a nice chapel of the Virgin Mary of the Seven Sorrows and then we immersed ourselves in the natural scenery of the Western Tatras. We made a small stop at the "lower lookout" and then at the guerrilla bunker. Not to mention the turn to the unmarked trail through Bílé Studenice, which leads between the gorges of the Sokol and Mnich hills, but because it is a national nature reserve, entry is possible only with an authorized person. Gradually, we got to another point of reference, namely the crossroads Pod Babkami. Here, the tourist sign is divided into green, leading to the klippe of Predúvratie, and blue to Chata pod Náružím.
After more than two hours and overcoming over 700 meters of ascent, we arrived at the finish. This was Chata pod Náružím, which was surrounded by the peaks of Babka, Malá and Velká Kopa, Ostrá or Sivý vrch. But beware, in winter the cottage is only accessible on weekends. Nevertheless, it is a year-round refuge for tourists. It offers accommodation and tasty snacks. There is also the possibility of replenishing water from the spring and there is also an excellent mobile signal. It is interesting that tourists know the cottage under the older name Chata na Červeneci cabin, so do not be surprised when you hear this name.
The current cottage was preceded by two buildings, which unfortunately burned down. In 2001, the cottage underwent a general overhaul and is the property of the village Bobrovec. Various tourist events take place here during the year. Despite the excellent accessibility or beautiful environment, not only the cottage but also this mountain area is one of the less popular, which will be appreciated especially by those who are looking for real peace in the arms of the mountains.
