Beskydy - Czech republic

Beskydy  Mountains are  situated  in the eastern part of Czech Republic near to the border with  Poland and Slovakia . They are formed by Moravian and Silesian Beskydy and its environs, Štramberk Highlands and the northern part of Vsetín Hills. The  highest point of Beskydy is  Lysá hora (1323 m), on  the frontier of Poland and Slovakia , in an area of Oravské and Zywiecké Beskydy there is Babia hora (1725 m). On the territory of Beskydy there is extending Protected Natural Area Beskydy.

This ski centre is situated in the community Hutisko-Solanec, Beskydy Mountain Range, Region of Zlín, in an altitude of 861metres above sea level, Vsetín district. From Soláň top, you can see, at favourable weather conditions not only Jeseníky Mountains, but also Small Fatra, Sulov Rocks and Martin Rocks in Slovakia. Soláň Mountain is taken for the best part of Walachia Region.

Ski Area Soláň-Sedlo is offering in winter the services, as follows:

 - ski slopes of various difficulty stages, three of them are covered with technical snow, in case of necessity

 - evening skiing on the longest ski slope

During summer season, the resort offers:

 - wide choice of many tourist trails and cycling trails around Beskydy Mountains.

The route across Soláň up to tourist chalet Třeštík is very popular.
