Orlické Mountains - Czech republic

Orlické Mountains are situated on the border with Poland and Czech Republic, in north-east Bohemia. The highest point is Velká deštná (1115 m). Metuje, Bělá and Divoká (Wild) Orlice rivers flow through these mountains. For this area is typical national architecture and many monuments. Part of Orlické Mountains was declared as Protected Natural Area in 1969.

Your excursion could be started at a pier of Pastviny water reservoir (dam). You drive in direction of Nekoř and Bredůvky communities, where you continue along asphalted shortened way upstairs, to the left. Further, you go on a way in direction to the community of Bořitov down to a bend in a valley, where you find narrow asphalted road to the community of Sobkovice on your right part. You descend down to Tichá Orlice Valley, behind the river you turn to the right and reach the town of Jablonné nad Orlicí. Further, you follow marked cycling route No. 4074 and mount up to the top of Suchý vrch (Dry Hill). Along forest way, turning aside to the left, not far from the cottage, you reach Bouda Hill. From here, you descend down into Těchonín Brook Valley. After couple of minutes, you arrive to Bouda military fortification. You continue in descent down towards the community of Těchonín, and consequently, from here to Mladkov. One more mounting, and you drive through communities of Petrovičky  and České Petrovice, descending on cycling route No. 22, around Čihák cottage to so called Zemská brána (Country Gate), you reach the community of Bartošovice. Afterthat, you can watch church ruin in Neratov. On crossroads, you turn to the left, following cycling route No. 4075. In Mezivrší Col, you will be among Komáří and Anenský Hills. From here, you descend down towards the communities of Říčky and Horní Rokytnice, and further, in direction to Bartošovice. Anyway, before you turn aside through asphalted way in valley, you mount to Hanička fortification. Consequently, you descend slowly from along steep hill towards parking place below Hanička fortification. Later, from parking place, you continue along asphalted way to main road, turn to the right, and after 1 km of drive, you turn to the left, passing communities of Končiny, Zbudov, Klášterec nad Orlicí, and you arrive again to Pastviny dam - water reservoir.
