Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian Mountains) - Slovakia
Extent: 655 km²
This mountain range belongs to Slovak-Moravian Carpathian Mountains area. It is to be found in West Slovakia in districts of Skalica, Senica, Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Trenčín, Ilava, and Púchov. The area is declared as Preserved Countryside Region.
Highest peak: Velká Javorina (970 m).
Surface: it s very afforested, mostly with oak forests, areas where the trees are missing, are presented with meadows and glades.
Climatic area: moderately warm, colder.
As soon as you enter the Trenčín region, you will find yourself in Matouš's kingdom, which is named after the most powerful ruler and Hungarian nobleman named Matúš Čák Trenčianský. In this kingdom, you can not only admire the beauty of nature and historical monuments, but also visit villages, towns, restaurants and hotels, which work together to offer services and traditions so that everyone feels at home.
Luhacovice spa is beautiful, quiant and treats patiens in any season of the year. Its diverse architecture, splendid surroundings and green has always charmed its visitors.
Today we take you to an amazing place about 10 kilometers from downtown Zlin. The city was founded by the Shoe King Tomas Bata in 1930. Well, you may already realized we are going to visit the Zlin Zoo. Locals dubb it Zoo Lesna.
Vsichni Na Bajk, an unusual competition, has been a success. It's second year is being held this year and competitors use a mobile app to participate. The app motivates to do sports and explore interesting places. The most diligent can win a new bike and other interesting prizes in the end of this summer.
After long time, we visited not the highest but certainly one of the most spectacular of Slovakia's mountain ranges – Vrsatska Klipe.
Southeast of Zlin is located a small town of Valasske Klouboky through which flows the river of Kloboucka (Brumlovka). The town is surrounded with the White Carpathians and the Vizovicke Hills. We have heard there is a number of interesting experiences in the town. Therefore, we decided to see it for ourselves.
Slovakia is a beautiful land. We became convinced of this on our one-day trip. We started in a small village of Haluzice near the district town of Nove Mesto nad Vahom.
