Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian Mountains) - Slovakia
Extent: 655 km²
This mountain range belongs to Slovak-Moravian Carpathian Mountains area. It is to be found in West Slovakia in districts of Skalica, Senica, Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Trenčín, Ilava, and Púchov. The area is declared as Preserved Countryside Region.
Highest peak: Velká Javorina (970 m).
Surface: it s very afforested, mostly with oak forests, areas where the trees are missing, are presented with meadows and glades.
Climatic area: moderately warm, colder.

Ski Land Stará Myjava
Ski centre
Region of Trenčín, Myjava district
This ski centre is situated not far from Stará Turá and Myjava, in West Slovakia, Region of Trenčín, inside White Carpathian Mountains, protected countryside locality, in an altitude of 460-550 metres above sea level. The centre is ideal for families with children as well as for relax skiers.
Ski Centre Stará Myjava offers in winter the services, as follows:
- three ski slopes, illuminated routes are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- three ski lifts
- several ski running routes of different length and difficulty stage
- covering with technical snow is available, if necessary
- ski service
- ski rent
- two kiosks
- accommodation on spot
- parking free of charge
During summer season, the resort is ideal for walkings and relax in the nature.
