Biele Karpaty (White Carpathian Mountains) - Slovakia
Extent: 655 km²
This mountain range belongs to Slovak-Moravian Carpathian Mountains area. It is to be found in West Slovakia in districts of Skalica, Senica, Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Trenčín, Ilava, and Púchov. The area is declared as Preserved Countryside Region.
Highest peak: Velká Javorina (970 m).
Surface: it s very afforested, mostly with oak forests, areas where the trees are missing, are presented with meadows and glades.
Climatic area: moderately warm, colder.

Region of Trenčín, Ilava district
This nature reservation (since 1970) is placed in cadastre of communities of Červený Kameň and Vršatske Podhradie, at extent of 82,4 ha. It is unique rock earthwork of main range of White Carpathian Mountains, formed with limestones, with typical presence of fossils.
On top of Vršatec Hill, you can fin rests of ruins of a castle from 13th century.
