Short characteristics:
Javorie hill range has an egg-shaped form. This is the only visible sign of the fact that the hill is of volcanic origin. Its relief has mostly hilly and mountaneous character. The higher hill section, upland, is created with andesites, whereas the lower, hilly section, is created with pyroclastics. In its south-west part, primary and secondary mineral rocks are rising.
The surface is from great part afforested, covered with beech-woods, mixed with fir-trees, and dry areas are overgrown with oaks. Non-afforested sections of this hilly countryside are covered with persistant grass copse, less frequently with arable land or orchards.
Dispersed settlements form an interesting countryside element. Lešť, military training space is not accessible for public. This space penetrates to Javorie, Ostrožky and Krupina plain, and belongs to most known military areas of Central Europe.
