Kysucka Highland is placed in north-west part of Slovakia, in Region of Žilina, in Čadca, Námestovo, Kysucke Nové Mesto, Žilina and Dolný Kubín districts. The complex belongs to Central Beskydy area, which forms a part of Outer West Carpathian Mountains.

SVK: Vychylovka - Museum Of Kysuca Village
In the beautiful countryside surrounding the Protected Landscape Area lies Museum of Kysuca village. This extremely interesting museum, which is also an integral part of the historic Forest Logging Back Swath Railway, can be found in the village of New Bystrica in part Vychylovka.
