Kysucké Beskydy (Kysuca Beskydy Mountains) - Slovakia

Extent: 150 km²

This mountain range borders with Poland. It is situated in Central Slovakia in districts of Čadca and Námestovo. It forms a part of Central Beskydy Area, being a part of West Carpathian Mountains.

Highest peak: Velká Rača (1236 m).

Surface: the forests are missing partially. The established areas of arable soil as well as permanent afforested crops are changing with areas of mostly pine-wood forests.

Relief: it is of highland character.

Climatic area: moderately warm and colder.

Part of this area belongs to Preserved Kysuca Region. On slopes of the highest peak, there is located an important ski resort Velká Rača.
