The mountain range has highland relief, divided into ridges´system with valleys, basins and furrows. The surface of Laborec Highland is covered mostly with leafy woods, where beech-wood trees are dominating. On non-afforested areas in valleys and basins, you can find meadows, pasture lands and arable areas.

Most of this territory is drained with Laborec-river, including its numerous tributaries. Udava and Cirocha rivers are most important from them.
