Slovakia Paradise (Slovenský ráj) - Slovakia
Extent: 19 736 ha
This mountain range forms part of Slovak Iron Ore Mountains, belonging to complex of Spiš-Gemer Karst. It is located in north part of Slovakia in districts of Spišská Nová Ves and Poprad. It is made from limestones and dolomites, and partially from sandstones and slates.
Highest peak: Ondrejisko (1270 m)
Surface: is afforested, in south there are to be found fir-woods and beech-woods, in north pine-wood forests.
All this area is very popular and visited by tourists, including its nature beauties and karst caves, canyons and precipices.
Protected Countryside Area Slovakian Paradise was declared as National Park in 1988.

SK, Slovensky Raj – Nature from the Other World
In the northeast of the Slovak Ore Mountains there is the Slovensky Raj nature park. It was founded in 1988. Its purpose is to protect rare karst formations such as canyons or gorges. Yet there is also rare flora and fauna. Our photogallery is a trip to one of the most frequented places of this green world - you will walk through Prulom Hornadu, the area surrounding Cingov and also the famous Tomasovsky scenic view.

SK, Slovakian Paradise – Visiting Kysel Ferrata
Today's photogallery takes you on a trip to Kysel gorge, which has been recently reopened. You can find the gorge in Slovakian Paradise. The Mountain Rescue ferrata takes you to many amazing nature sceneries. Along the way, there are ladders, risers, lakes, waterfalls, and green forest.
