Tatra Mountain Range forms a countryside complex of Fatra-Tatra area. The complex is situated in north part of Slovakia, on the border with Poland, in Prešov and Žilina Regions, whereas three-fourths of the territory is placed in Slovakia. The complex is to be found in Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad, Kežmarok and Tvrdošín districts. Tatra is this highest mountain range of the whole Carpathian arch, with many peaks, exceeding 2500 metres above sea level.

Vyšne Ružbachy
Vyšne Ružbachy Spa is situated on south slopes of High Tatra Mountains and Spišska Magura Highland, on border of Tatra and Pieniny National Park. The history comes to 16th century. At that time, first spa houses were constructed. Fourteen mineral thermal sources well up here. The springs are weakly mineralized, with temperature of 26° C, containing calcium, magnesia, fluoride and carbonate. Healing water is destined for baths, only Joseph source serves for internal use. The stay in this spa is recommended at treatment of cardio-vascular, oncological, gynecological and mental disorders.
Vyšne Ružbachy surroundings offer to visitors soprts and tourist activities, in summer known as „oxygen routes“. These are long routes for foot passengers and cyclists. In winter, ski park with routes of various distances, is availble.
