SK: Western Tatras – Across Rackova Valley to Bystra
Bystra Mountain (2 248 m above sea level) is the highest mountain of the Western Tatras, spreading near the state border with Poland - on the southern ridge of the mountain - south of the mountain of Blyst (2 155 m above sea level). From our territory we can reach its peak along several hiking trails. One of the possibilities is the route that leads through the Rackova valley. First, in the Strait Valley, we start on the blue trail, then join the yellow path towards Račková dolina and then continue through the Gabor valley along the blue hiking trail. In Bystre Klippe, we reach the main ridge of the Western Tatras. Then we continue to ascend in the direction to Blyst, until we finally ascend to the peak of Bystra. This hill will find its way to your heart and reward you with beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and valleys of the Western Tatras, as well as views of the remote ridges of the High and Low Tatras.
