SR: Turiec – Winter Climb Up Zniev
Today we invite you to walk to the perhaps lesser known hill in the Turcianska Basin with the ruins of the castle, which is located above the village of Kláštor pod Znievom. If you already know it's Zniev, you guess right. A medium-high output is possible from multiple directions. Here you will find skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts as well as cross-country skiers. Zniev (985 m above sea level) is characterized by a circular view and during the climb you will overcome the elevation of almost 500 m. Your effort will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mala and Velka Fatra, Strazovske Hills, Kremnicke Hills, Chocske Hills, Low and Western Tatras and also the picturesque Turcianska Basin.
